How long have you been with Storeys and how has your role evolved in that time? 

I have been with Storeys for over three years now and I came on board to make manage the sales progression process for Storeys clients and to ensure they have a first class service from their first contact with us through to the end of their sale/purchase experience. My role has stayed the same but it definitely fluctuates with market conditions.

What does your typical day look like? 

I get up early and go to the gym for 6.30am, I have two young children so getting them ready for school comes next. Once they are dropped off I come home and start my day. I work remotely for most of the time (I live in Durham) unless I am visiting the offices and the team in Cheshire which I tend to do every couple of months. My days vary depending on what is happening on each transaction. I speak to solicitors, estate agents and clients for the majority of the day whether that is problem solving issues, negotiating, offering advice and support or getting updates and moving transactions along. Everything I do is with the clients best interest at heart. This part of the sales process is often overlooked by other agents and their clients can really suffer the consequences with additional stress and extra financial cost.

What’s your favourite thing about working with Storeys?

I have been in the industry for 25 years and have worked with small independents, corporate agencies, large new home builders and land buyers. By far Storeys are in a class of their own. They are innovative, dynamic and have an incredible culture and team spirit which shines through in everything they do. I am very proud to be associated with such wonderful people!

Why do you think Storeys stand out above the rest?

It boils down to the team really caring about delivering an exceptional service, being open to learning and evolving and never taking being the best for granted.

What is your biggest challenge in your role?

The whole of my role can be challenging! This is the part of the sale where everything gets real and emotions can understandably get heightened. My role is to guide clients towards decisions and actions that will give them to best possible outcome whilst navigating challenges that inevitably crop up. My biggest frustration is poor communication from other agents and solicitors. Communication is one of my biggest strengths and I get that feedback from clients and buyers constantly.

What do you love about Cheshire? Do you have any favourite go-to spots? 

I love the Hollies Farm shop for a mooch and a coffee, Delamere Forest is beautiful and when I come over and stay I enjoy a morning jog alongside the River Weaver.
