How long have you been with Storeys and how has your role evolved in that time?

I first starting working with Storeys in August 2022 as a Freelancer alongside my full-time job in education, designing and creating bespoke branding and brochures for Storeys properties. I was really enjoying the creative element of this role, so just before Christmas I tried my luck and asked Aidan if Storeys would ever have a full-time, permanent role available and if they would consider me for it. After some discussion in house, I was offered the role of Creative Designer and I started working full-time with Storeys in February 2023.

What does your typical day look like?

I still work behind the scenes designing and creating bespoke branding and property brochures, but now a full-time member of Team Storeys, I also manage our social media, the Northwich and Tarporley podcast and all things creative in-house. I join the team in our Tarporley office a couple of days a week to ensure I am in the loop with all the need-to-knows about each property we currently have on the market. I also join our epic photographers and videographer on shoot days to capture some behind the scenes footage which can be used on social media. Shoot days also help me when designing the branding/brochures too, as I can really get a feel for the property and any standout features (and it helps with knowing which rooms are what to marry up with the copy!).

What’s your favourite thing about working with Storeys?

Without doubt, the team. There is nothing better than working alongside such a supportive and encouraging bunch of individuals who make you laugh every day.

Why do you think Storeys stand out above the rest?

While I feel the quality of our marketing really helps us stand out in a very competitive market, for me it’s our standard of communication. We are always communicating with our clients and making sure they are always kept in the loop (even if there isn’t an update, the team are always keen to continue checking in regardless). Team Storeys go above and beyond for our clients, not just when their home is on the market, but in both the lead up to selling their home (offering expert advice and guidance) and following their sale. Our team is epic and you won’t convince me otherwise.

What is your biggest challenge in your role?

I think the biggest challenge for any creative is fighting through self-doubt and what feels like imposter syndrome. When you feel like you’re running out of ideas, it can feel very daunting because you still need to be performing and creating fresh content.

What do you love about Cheshire? Do you have any favourite go-to spots?

I moved to Cheshire 10 years ago for University from the South and it is probably one of the best things I have done. I really like having the best of both worlds – all the amenities you could need, but also having the countryside right on your doorstep. I love being outdoors, so being close to so many different walks and beauty spots is a massive plus for me. I also enjoy how quiet it is.

We are well and truly spoilt for choice, but my favourite go-to spots are Delamere Forest and The Fishpool Inn for a bite to eat.
