How long have you been with Storeys and how has your role evolved in that time?

2.5 years. I started initially providing some office support and getting involved in anything I could. I found the variety of different scenarios that crop up exciting. I started doing viewings, negotiating (which was something I found I really enjoyed and excelled at) and going out valuing, giving advice to people about the marketing of their home. I’m now our Senior Agent & Negotiator and take lead responsibility for a number of homes we are selling and helping our clients get the best results!

What does your typical day look like?

It varies a lot which is what I like! Most days I get some exercise in before work so I’m ready for the day ahead. I spend a lot of time out meeting clients and potential clients, making calls to clients and negotiating offers but also then working hard during office time to follow up with any sales we’re agreeing or clients whom wish to work with us. Throw in the odd viewing and marketing shoot with photos/videos and there’s always something going on.

What’s your favourite thing about working with Storeys?

I love the buzz you get from agreeing sales for our clients and helping them to achieve their dream moves. It’s such an energetic environment and I suppose the team I work with are good company too! This is needed through the ups and downs of buying and selling houses!

Why do you think Storeys stand out above the rest?

I’d say the thing that most people will see about us is the top quality marketing. The attention to detail that goes into getting our photos looking the best, or the videos highlighting the key features of the home and the local area or the high quality brochures we provide. We work hard to show our clients homes in a way that they can be proud of. The personal service and communication is also key to what we do.

What is your biggest challenge in your role?

The hardest part is wanting to make everybody happy. Buying and selling houses can be a highly emotional time and the market in thepast few months has been tougher than it was during my first few years in the industry. The key is working hard and communicating, exploring every possible avenue to get our clients the results they deserve.

What do you love about Cheshire? Do you have any favourite go-to spots?

Cheshire is great, my home county. I dabbled with city living in Manchester for 5/6 years but gravitated back to Cheshire. The balance of life is great. There’s gorgeous countryside yet it still has easy access to big cities but I love being in and amongst the beautiful towns and villages we have here.
